US officials are saying they believe the Ukrainian plane was shot down Wednesday by a missile from Iran.

The Ukrainian International Airlines Boeing 737-800 was brought down just after two missile strikes on airbases housing United States troops.

CBS News quoted US intelligence sources as saying a satellite detected infrared “blips” of two missile launches, followed by another blip of an explosion.

Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Minister, Vadym Prystaiko said there were 63 Canadians (including at least 8 Ontario University students), 82 Iranians, and 11 Ukrainians on board Flight PS752
