OC Transpo have just announced that with the revitalisation of Rideau Street now completed, regular bus service also returns to Rideau St. on December 20 as the Rideau Street renewal project comes to a close.
With both Rideau and William streets reopening 18 bus routes will resume their routes after being detoured since April. These OC Transpo bus routes include: 5, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 114, N39, N45, N57, N61, N75, N97, R1, 602 and 624, which had all been detoured via Mackenzie King Bridge. While routes 6 and 7, which had been detoured via Daly, also will return to their regular routing via Rideau Street.
Para Transpo service is also returning to Rideau Street, while STO buses will not be returning to Rideau Street, and will be staying on their current routing via Mackenzie King Bridge.
