OTTAWA, September 17, 2026 – Shenkman Arts Centre is the place to be for live entertainment in 2027. Comedy, jazz, Indigenous sounds, Canadian music, circus, illusionists, and 80s icons, make a lineup that has something for everyone.

Get ready to laugh with award-winning Canadian funny man Brent Butt on Tuesday, January 26. Known for Corner Gas and Hiccups, a career in stand-up comedy that stretches into five decades, his show will have comedy fans rolling with laughter.
Pop Goes the World may be one of the most recognizable songs of the ‘80s. On Thursday, February 4, dig out your shoulder pads and get your ‘80s hit fix with icons, Men Without Hats.
Explore the risk and trust of human relationships through acrobatics with One Fell Swoop Circus’ By a Thread, on Sunday, March 21. You will be on the edge of your seat as this show takes you through a journey of confusion, hilarity, romance, playfulness, fear and friendship.
What happens when two of Canada’s master illusionists move into a century-old house, that’s rumoured to be haunted? It makes for an incredible, jaw-dropping show! Ted and Marion Outerbridge bring their spellbounding, theatrical illusion to the Ottawa stage on Saturday, April 10.
All of this, plus the monthly Matinée Café series continues with Jeff Rogers, Empress Nyringanga , Libby & Cal and Bytown Sea Shanty Collective, an hour set followed by delicious coffee and treats.
