Put on your snowsuit and get back to being a kid, because it’s time to enjoy the great outdoors! The most anticipate event of the year in Ottawa is finally here. It all gets started on Friday Feb 2, 2024 and runs until Monday, Feb 19, 2024!

Here is a look at some of the fun events planned for 2024:

  • Meet your friends at the top of Tim Hortons Chinook Super Slide
  • Lace up your skates and dance to the beat with DJs on the Rideau Canal Skateway, at the OLG Fifth Avenue Rest Area
  • Cheer on participating teams at the Beavertails Ottawa Ice Dragon Boat Festival
  • Get swept up in the thrill of the snow slides
  • Witness the skills of national and international ice sculptors
  • Lace up your skates and enjoy the world’s largest natural skating rink

Sloan frontman /bassist (also a member of Trans-Canada Highwaymen) Chris Murphy performs a FREE concert at The Rainbow – 76 Murray St, Ottawa, ON

More than just winter activities, Winterlude offers a wide range of shows for gangs of friends and families alike!  

  • Experience a mini pow-wow at the Canadian Museum of History. 
  • Attend the Capital Pride Ice Parade. 
  • Marvel at the street performers at OLG Buskerfest – Winterlude Edition. 
  • Cheer on professional dancers from across the country in a breakdance battle.

Urban art installations at Winterlude 2024

Art lovers are not to be outdone! Numerous artists will be transforming Canada’s Capital Region into an ephemeral art gallery.  

  • See national and international ice sculptors at work in the Winterlude Ice Sculpture Showcase, presented by Tim Hortons. 
  • Discover a multitude of interactive urban art installations by Canadian creators. 
  • Make great discoveries at Winterlude’s Indigenous Artisan Market, presented by Indigenous Experiences. 
  • Visit one of the many exhibitions in one of the participating museums.
