OTTAWA, nov. 15, 2022 – The greater Ottawa area is making up for lost time after having to cancel so many Christmas and Holiday themed events over the course of the pandemic. For starters, to get capital region residents into that festive spirit, there are no fewer that 10 Santa Claus parades taking place this year. So, the City of Ottawa says this is your chance to see Santa and his reindeer in person before they return to the North Pole. There are also numerous Christmas and holiday events happening around the region including the Vintage Village of Lights, Ottawa Christmas Market, Christmas Lights Across Canada and many more.
So get things started as the temperature is dropping by bundling up the kids and stake out your favourite spot along one of the many parade routes. Whether you’re attending or not, watch out for road closures and traffic interruptions along the parade routes.
