OTTAWA, March 21, 2025 – The City of Ottawa is reminding residents that while the snow has been melting and temperatures have been above normal lately, sports fields and baseball diamonds still remain closed.

Ball diamonds and sports fields need maintenance and drying time before they open and could be damaged if used while in their current condition.

The City thanks residents for their patience and says they will be monitoring the field and weather conditions throughout the remainder of March and April. Once it has been determined that ball diamonds and sports fields are ready for play, we will advise the public and confirm the opening dates.
