Ottawa is undergoing a few road work projects that will impact driving routes and traffic flow. The City of Ottawa has announced the following road closures:
- Highway 417 – The following Highway 417 lane reductions and closures will take place:
- Between Merivale Road and Parkdale Avenue, lanes will be reduced from 9 pm until 6 am on both Monday, January 11 and Tuesday, January 12 to install the Jackie Holzman Bridge sign. Lane reduction signs will be in place. The westbound on-ramp from Parkdale will also close on Monday, January 11 from 9 pm until 6 am.
- The westbound on-ramp from southbound Pinecrest Road will close nightly from 11 pm until 5 am starting Monday, January 11 for Stage 2 LRT work. This closure is weather dependent and is anticipated to be completed on the morning of Friday, January 15.
- Byron Avenue – Sections of Byron Avenue between Sherbourne Road and Redwood Avenue, and between New Orchard Avenue and Ancaster Avenue remain closed until the end of March for Stage 2 LRT work.
