OTTAWA, January 16, 2026 — A significant snowfall continues to hit Ottawa today with accumulations of 20 – 35 cm expected when all is said and done, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.
The snow will taper off this evening.
Very cold wind chills, during ongoing snowfall, will add to the adverse weather conditions.
It goes without saying that travel will continue to be hazardous. and there may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic. Allow extra time for travel.
Non-essential travel should be avoided.
