Two freight trains have collided along the CN railway tracks in Prescott, Ontario, located about 95 km south of Ottawa according to a report from Ontario Provincial Police East Region.
Emergency crews are on the scene at the train tracks near Edward Street overpass in Prescott where, according to the Town of Prescott news release, locomotive engines and several box cars have been overturned due to the collision.

OPP said in a tweet two freight trains have collided and one individual has been treated with minor injuries.

“All CN staff have been accounted for and have sought medical attention as required. All dangerous goods have been contained,” reads the report from Town of Prescott.

The cause of the collision and derailment is yet to be determined.
