All three NCC park bistros are now fully open

The third of Ottawa’s National Capital Commission’s (NCC) bistros has just opened. That’s right Now open as of July 30, 2021 is the NCC Bistro at Patterson Creek Park. The bistro is idyllically located in a beautiful park, next to a quiet creek in Ottawa’s family-friendly Glebe neighbourhood. The creek flows into the adjacent Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which, in summer months, is popular with runners, walkers and cyclists.

The NCC has partnered with local restaurant entrepreneurs to enhance the summer experience at Ottawa’s urban parks and shorelines with three bistro destinations.

Each NCC Bistro features a modern patio design, and offers an exciting assortment of food and beverages.

Patterson Creek Park Bistro is located Linden Terrace, Ottawa, Ontario and will ne open daily from 9 am to 8:30 pm.

Hours and menu are subject to change.

Already opened earlier this summer are the Confederation Park Bistro and Remic Rapids Park Bistro.

Confederation Park Bistro

The Confederation Park BIstro, located near the Ottawa Locks of the historic Rideau Canal, at Confederation Park is described as “a true urban oasis, conveniently tucked away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Ottawa streets.”

  • Location: Elgin Street and Laurier Avenue, Ottawa ON K1P 5J2
  • Hours: Daily, 9:30 am to 9 pm
  • Menu
    • All-day menu includes an assortment of paninis, croissant sandwiches, fine pastries, bars, ice cream, homemade popsicles, beer, wine, brewed tea, iced tea, espresso-based coffee drinks and specialty coffee drinks.
    • All-day brunch menu includes an assortment of sweet and savory waffles, waffled sandwiches, salads, quiches and twists.
    • Vegetarian options are available.

Remic Rapids Park Bistro

The NCC says its Bistro at Remic Rapids Park “provides an opportunity to stop, refuel and enjoy the magnificent rock sculptures by artist John Felice Ceprano — plus take in the panoramic views of the Ottawa River.”

  • Hours: Daily, 11 am to 9 pm
  • Menu
    • All-day menu includes an assortment of hot dogs, veggie dogs, sausages, gelato, sorbet, slushies, beer and wine.
    • Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available.
