In response to significant early interest, tickets will be released through a structured, phased process designed to provide fans with a more streamlined and personal purchasing experience.

Fans are encouraged to register their interest via RugbyRematchTour.ca and indicate their preferred ticket options in advance.

Registered fans will be contacted in stages and provided with dedicated purchase windows as inventory becomes available.

The Rugby Rematch Tour, presented by Canadian Tire is part of the WXV Global Series. Designed by World Rugby to harness the growth of women’s rugby across the world, the WXV competition creates certainty of fixtures, deepens international rivalries and lays a clear competitive pathway towards Women’s Rugby World Cup 2029.

“Returning to Ottawa is incredibly meaningful for Rugby Canada. The last time we played here, the energy from over 11,000 fans created a truly special moment for our players as they prepared for the Rugby World Cup. That kind of support doesn’t just fill a stadium—it fuels performance,” said Nathan Bombrys, CEO of Rugby Canada. “We’re excited to come back to a city that showed up for us in such a historic way, and we’re confident the Ottawa crowd will once again give our team the home-field advantage we need for what promises to be a fiercely competitive match. Thank you to the City of Ottawa and Canadian Tire for their support in bringing international rugby back to the city.”

“It was incredible to see so many Canadians rally behind us during last year’s World Cup,” said Kévin Rouet, Head Coach of Canada’s Women’s Rugby Team. “There is always something special about playing at home in front of our friends and family. We’re thrilled to face England and to give our supporters the chance to pack the stadium in Ottawa.”

While Mayor Mark Sutcliffe added “We’re excited to welcome Canada’s Women’s Rugby Team back to Ottawa for what promises to be another incredible night at TD Place. Last year, our city showed up in a big way and set a new standard for women’s sport in North America. This match is a chance to build on that momentum, bring our community together, and support some of the best athletes in the world. Ottawa is proud to be a place where women’s sport can thrive, and I know fans will once again create an unforgettable atmosphere.”

With the launch of The Rugby Rematch Tour this fall, Rugby Canada’s partnership with Canadian Tire Corporation underscores a shared commitment to elevating high-performance women’s sport across the country.

Rugby Canada and Rugby Ontario are collaborating to deliver a schedule of community events in the Ottawa area leading up to October 23 match that are designed to create positive community impact.

“Ottawa has proven to be a great host and venue for International Rugby, and this October will demonstrate that once again as the world-ranked #3 Canada Women’s Rugby Team hosts the current world champion England Red Roses,” said Marius Felix, Board Chair of Rugby Ontario. “The match will provide fans with the opportunity to watch two of rugby’s finest sides in a jam-packed TD Place Stadium, in a rematch of last year’s World Cup final. This will undoubtedly be a wonderful event to support our exceptional Canadian team in our capital city.”

Rugby Canada would like to thank Ottawa Tourism, the City of Ottawa, the Ministry of Sport through the Province of Ontario, the Ontario Sport Hosting Program, and Ottawa Sports & Entertainment Group for their support in bringing international rugby back to the Nation’s Capital.

Canada’s WXV pre-tournament camp squad will be announced in August. All matches in The Rugby Rematch Tour, presented by Canadian Tire and Canada’s three September WXV fixtures in Europe will be televised live by TSN.

Further details, including TSN broadcast specifics and media accreditation applications, will be announced shortly.

SUPPORT RUGBY CANADA

Earned Not Given is a national campaign designed to shine a light on what Canadians don’t always see – Canada’s National Team players working full-time jobs, balancing education, constant fundraising, and training without the spotlight.

Through this campaign, Canadians are invited to invest in that meaning — by supporting Rugby Canada’s high-performance programs, player development pathways, and grassroots growth across the country. Donations directed through the Earned Not Given campaign will fund Canada’s National Rugby Teams’ high-performance programs, travel for international competition, coaching, recovery resources, and grassroots initiatives.
