Hey Ottawa, don’t you think 53 years is a long time to keep a craft show going? That’s a lot of handmade mittens, a lot of wooden spoons and a staggering number of people saying “Oh, I could make that” before buying it anyway. The Nepean Sportsplex Christmas Craft Show is back to celebrate its 53rd anniversary, and it’s the perfect excuse to get a head start on your holiday shopping, or just wander around with a warm drink and a very good excuse to treat yourself.
What to expect
This year, more than 100 local and Canadian vendors will be showing off their handmade goods, including clothing and accessories, jewelry, wood products, artwork, leather goods and plenty more. It’s a great spot to find a one-of-a-kind gift or a stocking stuffer that doesn’t look like it came off the same shelf as everyone else’s. Every purchase also supports local artisans and the craft community.
