Snow squalls. Brief periods of heavy snow and blowing snow will accompany the squalls.
Where:
Parts of central and eastern Ontario.
When:
1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Snow squalls are likely behind a cold front this afternoon into this evening. The afternoon commute could be impacted in urban areas. The squalls should move into New York State by 9 p.m.
Today’s forecast is mainly cloudy with flurries beginning early this afternoon. Local blowing snow. Local amount 2 cm. Wind northwest 30 km/h gusting to 50. Temperature falling to minus 9 this afternoon. Wind chill minus 16 this afternoon. UV index 2 or low. Flurries ending early this evening then partly cloudy with 30 percent chance of flurries. Local blowing snow early this evening. Wind northwest 30 km/h gusting to 50. Low minus 19. Wind chill minus 16 this evening and minus 28 overnight. Risk of frostbite.
