Here are the best ways to experience the excitement of the Tour de Gatineau

Ottawa area cycling enthusiasts are invited to come out and enjoy the unique and inspiring atmosphere of the Tour de Gatineau from September 18 to 21. This is the largest women’s cycling event in North America sanctioned by the International Cycling Union (UCI). There will be a road race as well as an individual time trial. Additionally, a criterium will be included in the program on Sunday with elite men’s and women’s races. 
 

There are numerous ways to discover and feel the thrill of the races! Let’s take a look at everything happening across race weekend as well as all traffic interruptions and road closures.

Road Closures – Practical Info

Gatineau side

  • Rue Maisonneuve will be one-way northbound during the event.
  • Access to Promenade du Portage via Hôtel-de-Ville (from Laurier) will remain open.
  • Access from Alexandre-Taché via Rue Eddy will be possible, but expect some delays.
  • Same for access via Hôtel-de-Ville (from Rue St-Rédempteur).
  • Leduc parking lot will remain accessible via Promenade du Portage.
  • Businesses on Rue Eddy will remain accessible via Wellington and Wright.

Ottawa side

  • The Canadian War Museum will remain accessible.
  • Mill Street Brew Pub will remain accessible via Booth Street to Wellington St.
