The first thing to settle is whether you are going home the same night. The property at 21 Casino Drive sits off the Trans-Canada Highway (Route 2) at Exit 450, in the Magnetic Hill area of Moncton, and the hotel is attached to the gaming floor, so the choice between a designated driver and a room is a choice you make before you leave, not at midnight.
The second decision is whether the evening is built around a show. A concert at the Molson Canadian Centre changes everything downstream: when you arrive, where you park, how long the queue at the buffet runs. Without a show, the evening is yours to pace between the floor, the pub and the hotel bar area.
Everything else is scheduling. Below is how the pieces fit together in time and money, in the order you will meet them.
Where It Is and How to Get There
From Greater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport (YQM), the drive is listed at roughly 10 to 15 minutes, with road distance cited at 17.1 km. A taxi covers it in about 12 minutes for roughly CAD 25 to 31.
Public transit is technically possible and practically not. Reaching the property by Codiac Transpo takes around two hours with transfers at a fare of 8 to 11 dollars, which rules it out for an evening plan. A car or a cab is the realistic option, and parking on site is free.
The casino opened on May 4, 2010, and the whole complex is wheelchair accessible.
What Is Inside the Building
The gaming floor runs 24,000 square feet and connects directly to the hotel lobby, the spa and pool area, and the event venue. Slot counts differ by source: directory listings report 490 machines, while tourism material cites over 600, including a high-limit room.
Table games number 26 and cover baccarat, craps, Let It Ride, roulette, Spanish 21, Three Card Poker and Ultimate Texas Hold’em, plus a poker room with five tables. The whole floor is 19 and over, and that rule extends to the restaurants on it.
The Rewards Club has two tiers. Points accrue at one per dollar cycled through a slot machine, and Ruby status requires roughly 35,000 qualifying points earned inside a 13-month window. Promotional days have run on a fixed clock: play between 10:00 and 19:45, reach 400 points, then print a gift voucher at a kiosk.
Where to Eat on the Casino Floor
Hub City Pub is the anchor. Food service runs daily from 10:30 to 02:00, drinks from 11:00 to 02:00, and a late-night menu is served Fridays and Saturdays until 23:45. The kitchen handles wings, poutine, bacon-wrapped scallops, burgers, sandwiches and entrees, and a daily lunch special has been reported at 6.99 dollars.
The Buffet is the other option, and guest accounts split hard on it. Prime rib, salmon soup and striploin nights draw praise; frozen vegetables, a thin salad bar and overcooked roast beef draw the opposite. The breakfast buffet that once operated here has been discontinued, so plan morning food around the hotel’s cooked-to-order breakfast, which carries a fee. There is no room service.
Live music plays at the pub, weekends especially, which matters if you want the evening to continue after a show lets out.
Concert Nights at the Molson Canadian Centre
The venue seats 2,100 in concert configuration, using 630 retractable tiered seats plus larger comfort seating, and holds up to 2,500 standing for general admission. As a function space it offers about 25,000 square feet, serving plated banquets from 60 to 1,100 guests.
The booking history is broad rather than niche: Styx, UB40, Shaggy, Steve Earle and the Dukes, The Tenors, Amanda Marshall, Roch Voisine, Dean Brody and The Reklaws, the Australian Pink Floyd Show and the Price Is Right Live stage show have all played the room. Travis Tritt performed on October 21, 2020; Jann Arden played on May 31, 2025.
One planning note that has nothing to do with the building. Searches for the brand surface a cluster of unaffiliated sites trading on the name, and an independent review resource breaks down what actually operates as online New Brunswick and what does not. It covers the brand’s web presence only, not room reviews, menus or the show calendar.
What an Evening Costs
Figures below come from reported guest transactions and aggregator data, not a published rate card, so treat them as a planning range rather than a quote.
| Item | Reported figure |
| Taxi from YQM | CAD 25-31 one way |
| Parking | Free, including ticketed events |
| Hub City Pub lunch special | 6.99 dollars |
| Hotel room, cheapest observed | From 92 dollars per night |
| Hotel room, sample paid rates | 100.99, 117.47, 121.80, 162.99 dollars |
| Hotel room, upper end | 300 dollars and above |
Saturdays and February tend to come in lowest, near 100 dollars. Rooms include WiFi, air conditioning, bathrobes and a safe; the property adds a 3,500 square foot spa, a 24-hour fitness centre, an indoor pool and a hot tub across 126 rooms and suites.
Parking, Age Rules and Whether to Make the Trip
The honest complaint is parking on event nights. Free does not mean plentiful: guests report nothing available in front of the hotel after 19:00 on show nights, an overflow lot at the rear with no back entrance, and a walk of 100 to 200 metres around the building in Moncton weather. One reviewer put the lot at roughly two-thirds of event capacity before hotel guests and regular floor traffic are counted. Arriving 45 minutes early is cheaper than arriving annoyed. Smokers also congregate near the casino door, which non-smokers notice.
Set against that: the floor is kept in good order, staff draw consistent praise, the pub runs to 02:00, and the walk from a concert seat to a hotel bed is measured in metres. For a planned evening in Moncton, the sequence works.
Entry and play are restricted to those 19 and over; set a budget before you arrive and treat gambling as paid entertainment, not income.
