OTTAWA, April 6/2023 – As a result of Wednesday’s ice storm, tens of thousands of capital area residents are still without power. The City of Ottawa wants residents to know that recreation facilities are available for those without power in order to charge their devices and use showering facilities at arenas, pools and recreation centres. However, many community centres will remain closed.

Hundreds of thousands of Hydro Ottawa, Hydro One and Hydro Quebec customers were affected in some way or other by the intense freezing rain that moved across the capital region and then on to Montreal.
