The National Capital Commission has announced that the Rideau Canal Skateway is reopening Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024 thanks to colder weather conditions.
The Rideau Canal Skateway is open from Bank to Pretoria, and skaters are advised to please stay in marked sections.
Change rooms, washrooms, and food and beverage concessions will be open at Fifth.
Skateway merchandise will be for sale from 12 pm – 4 pm
Please note that skate rentals are not available.
Be aware that ice skating conditions are variable.
