Special Weather Statement for Ottawa — Get those snow tires on! Environment Canada issued a Special Weather Statement for the Ottawa Region at 15:53 pm on Saturday 21 November 2020. Canada’s trusted weather source says that a “Significant snowfall expected Sunday afternoon into Sunday night.”

Snow is expected to begin Sunday afternoon. 10 to 20 cm of snow is possible before the snow tapers off Monday morning. Brief freezing rain will be possible overnight.

Travel is expected to be impacted due to moderate to heavy snow. Motorists should be prepared for winter weather driving conditions.

This is a result of a Colorado Low that will track from Ohio towards the St. Lawrence River Sunday into Monday.

Snowfall warnings may be required as the event draws closer.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ONstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
