Hey Ottawa! Riding your bike in June can be a win win win win situation

Ottawa is a fantastic place to ride your bike any time of year. It’s a great destination for most outdoor pursuits in fact, but June is Let’s Bike Month. The EnviroCentre, in partnership with the City is offering a series of workshops, events and promotions during Let’s Bike Month.

Visit Letsbike.ca for a full list of activities, including your opportunity to win prizes. To participate, simply sign up as an individual or as part of a team, then log your bike rides throughout the month. It’s fun, healthy, good for the environment and if you log at least one ride, you will be eligible to win prizes. It’s a regular win-win-win-win situation.

Workshops and events

There are cycling events and workshops taking place throughout Ottawa, throughout the month of June. Visit Letsbike.ca for all event and workshops dates and details. Join us for some great cycling tips, resources, and camaraderie

Safer Roads Ottawa also hosts or supports several community events throughout the year to educate the public about road safety.

Bruce Timmermans Award

The City of Ottawa are currently seeking nominations for the Bruce Timmermans Cycling Awards, which recognize contributions to cycling in the City of Ottawa. Nominations(link is external) for both the individual and organizational category will be accepted until Friday, May 31.
